Conference History
Since its inception in 2007, the International Conference on Transportation and Traffic has been held annually, serving as a distinguished platform for the exchange of knowledge, presentation of research achievements, and collaboration among academia, industry, and transportation professionals. By bringing together faculty members, researchers, students, engineers, policymakers, and industry experts, the conference has played a significant role in addressing emerging challenges, introducing innovative technologies, and promoting practical solutions in the fields of transportation and traffic.
Over the years, each edition has focused on the most pressing issues and emerging trends in the discipline. Topics have ranged from sustainable transportation, intelligent transportation systems, and traffic culture to transit-oriented development (TOD), smart cities, and the application of artificial intelligence in civil engineering. This continuous evolution reflects the conference’s forward-looking vision and its commitment to addressing national and global transportation challenges.
The conference has been organized through the collaboration of universities, the Khorasan Razavi Construction Engineering Organization, the Vice Presidency for Civil Affairs, Transportation and Traffic of Mashhad Municipality, and other professional institutions. This long-standing partnership has established the conference as one of the country’s leading scientific events in transportation and traffic.
Achievements of Fifteen Successful Editions
Throughout its fifteen editions, the conference has provided an outstanding platform not only for the presentation and peer review of scientific papers but also for strengthening collaboration among academics, government officials, engineers, consultants, and industry professionals. These interactions have contributed significantly to advancing both scientific research and practical applications in transportation and traffic.
During the 15th International Traffic and Transportation Conference, more than 202 scientific papers were submitted, over 500 participants attended the conference programs, and six internationally recognized keynote speakers shared their latest research findings and professional expertise.
The conference’s uninterrupted organization for more than fifteen years demonstrates its credibility, academic value, and prominent position as one of the leading professional conferences in the field of transportation and traffic.
